P.S. (Wall, South Dakota)
I was supposed to be done boring you all with this nonsense, but I bought my parents' old car which was conveniently located in Toronto and am spending this week driving across the northern United States this week, which I thought was worth mentioning. I listen to my IPod which includes David Sedaris books-on-tape (because I'm 48?) and much indie-rock, among other things, and I tune in to my fair share of country radio. Yesterday I drove for 12 hours in sparkly crisp fall sun with merely one brief stop for gas and urination. I slept at a truck stop Super 8 somewhere in western Wisconsin. Today I drove for 10ish cloudy windy cold hours which started with a written warning from a Minnesota State Police officer for going exactly 9 miles hour over the speed limit and finished it up in epically beautiful rainy Badlands National Park. I'm currently safely tucked into the basement of the Wall, South Dakota EconoLodge watching amazing Gray's Anatomy and tomorrow I will visit infamous Wall Drug and Mt. Rushmore before driving to Montana. Feel free to phone and distract me from the straight flat highway. Love, d.
